Welcome to the Juror Information web page for the
Stark County Court of Common Pleas. This information is being
provided for use by prospective jurors, their employers, and the
general public to learn about jury service in the Court of Common
Pleas.
Service as a juror is crucial to our system of
justice. As a prospective juror we are sure that you have many
questions regarding jury duty. On your first day of service you will
receive an in-depth orientation that will address many of your
questions. In the meantime, this web site has been created to provide
information about jury service in our Court. You will also find a
section that provides answers to frequently asked questions.
Juror Eligibility:
To be eligible to serve on jury duty, you must be at
least 18 years of age, a citizen of the United States and a resident
of Stark County. You must also be able to communicate in the English
language.
Juror Selection:
The names are selected at random from the Voters'
Registration list that is on file with the Stark County Board of
Elections. If you have spelled your name differently or if the
information on file at the Board of Elections is not up to date, you
may receive additional summons.
If you have received a summons for a deceased
relative, please indicate as such on the Jury Service Questionnaire
and return it in the envelope provided. We will attempt to not send
further summons; however, if the name of a deceased person remains
of the Voters' Registration list you may receive additional summons.
If you have received a summons for a person who
has moved from the county please complete the appropriate
information on the Jury Service Questionnaire and return it in the
envelope provided. We will attempt to not send further summons;
however if the name of a person who has moved from the county
remains on the Voters' Registration list you may receive additional
summons.
The only way to ensure that this does not continue
is to contact the Stark County Board of Elections at (330) 451-7015
and have the name removed from the list.

two days prior to your First Call-In Date. Please note: Grand Jurors

delaying your jury service.
We strongly suggest that each juror contact the Jury
Commissioners prior to their First Call-In to check on their
