PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
BOARD OF ELECTIONS SEEKS POLLWORKERS!
CANTON---The Stark County Board of Elections is seeking applications from registered voters to work at polling locations throughout the county.
The Primary Election will be held Tuesday, May 4, 2010:
· Pollworkers are compensated at a rate of $101.50- $121.50 for Election Day.
· New pollworkers will receive paid training.
· Pollworkers must have reliable transportation, and be available on Election Day from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
· Cancellations occur daily; pollworkers not immediately assigned, are used as positions become available.
· Individuals are also needed to serve on a standby basis for Election Day.
